Dear Valued Clients and Friends,

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced a stay-at-home order for all Ohioans, effective Monday, March 23, 2020, at 11:59 p.m.  There are exceptions to this order which include all essential businesses, infrastructure providers, and government functions. The Governor has specifically named Professional Services including accounting firms as an essential business, but the order nonetheless requires that as many employees as possible be permitted to work remotely.

Recently, we encouraged all members of our M+N team to work from home as much as possible, and the transition to a remote operation went smoothly.  We will continue our remote work in adherence to the Governor’s order. We are fully committed to continuing to serve our clients with excellence, striving to provide our solutions and services without interruption.

With the extension of the Federal tax filing deadline (however, please note, as of this date, most state and local taxing authorities have NOT extended their deadlines), we encourage you to continue to work with your tax advisor and where possible, file in advance of the extended deadline of July 15, especially those who anticipate a refund or want to plan around any balance of tax due. We encourage clients to use electronic means to send us information whenever possible.

Our experts are tirelessly following our Federal, State and Local Government announcements as they relate to your personal and business tax situations and we continue to monitor updates from our industry associations.  We will communicate regularly as new guidance is provided.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the M+N team.  Please stay safe and healthy during these unprecedented times.

Very truly yours,

Jon Ruple, Managing Shareholder
