Maloney + Novotny Reaches Settlement with RSM McGladrey
CLEVELAND, December 21, 2007 — Maloney + Novotny
and RSM McGladrey announced today that they have resolved
their differences concerning the provision of professional
services to their respective clients. As part of the agreement,
terms of the settlement are private.
Maloney + Novotny and RSM
McGladrey recently ended an agreement under which the
two firms jointly operated to service clients. Today’s
settlement enables both accounting firms to move forward
in serving their clients and growing their businesses
in Ohio. Maloney + Novotny is now able to provide full
audit, accounting, tax and business advisory services
to clients. RSM, which provides tax and consulting services,
will now operate in an alternative practice structure
with McGladrey & Pullen LLP, to provide audit and
attest services.
Principals of both firms noted that the interests of clients
remain their top priorities.
“With more than 70 employees already on board, we
are happy to be able to move forward as the full-service
firm we are, with attest, tax preparation and consulting
services to provide to our clients,” said Matthew
Maloney, managing shareholder, Maloney + Novotny. “Now
that an equitable solution has been found, we can pursue
our growth as a locally owned and managed firm.”
