Maloney + Novotny Bowls for Kids
CLEVELAND, OH [February 28, 2009] – On Saturday, February 28th, local accounting firm Maloney + Novotny LLC participated in Junior Achievement of Greater Cleveland’s Under the Big Top Bowl-A-Thon FUN-raiser. Nine Maloney + Novotny teams comprised of 45 participants helped raise more than $3,500 to support educational programs in schools throughout Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake and Lorain counties. Junior Achievement volunteers visit the classroom to teach financial literacy, workforce readiness skills and entrepreneurship education. They help students to build a foundation for personal growth, development and achievement. This year’s goal for Junior Achievements’ annual Bowl-A-Thon fundraiser is to raise $385,000.
"We had a great time coming together to support a great cause,” said Michael Spangler, a Manager at Maloney + Novotny and firm coordinator of this event. “Getting involved in the community is something that our firm stands behind," added Spangler.
