Four Promoted at Maloney + Novotny
CLEVELAND, OH [January 23, 2009] – Locally owned and managed accounting firm Maloney + Novotny recently promoted four staff in their Cleveland office.
William Schramm – Manager. Bill started with Maloney & Novotny in 2001. His audit and accounting experience is primarily focused on working with commercial and industrial based industries specializing in auto dealers, manufacturing and distribution companies. Bill also specializes in auditing employee benefit plans covering defined benefit, defined contributions and health and welfare plans. Bill is a 2002 graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and earned a Masters of Business degree in 2003. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Jonathan Harrington – Manager. Jonathan joined Maloney & Novotny in 2003. As a manager in the audit department he works with a variety of clients in such industries as manufacturing, distribution, oil and gas, automobile and a variety of not-for-profits. Jonathan also has expertise dealing with Sarbanes-Oxley projects. Jonathan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Ohio Society of CPA’s and the Institute of Internal Auditors. He also spearheads the firm’s recruitment committee. Jonathan is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Pete Srsen – Supervisor. Pete joined Maloney + Novotny in 2004 and focuses his efforts and expertise on not-for-profit audits in various sectors including education, foundations, health care and trade associations. Pete’s professional background in public accounting, along with his strong interpersonal and team-oriented skills, complement Maloney + Novotny’s already diversified audit team. Pete is a member of the Ohio Society of CPA’s and the American Institute of CPA’s. He is a 2004 graduate of the University of Dayton and became a CPA in 2006.
Geoff Kroeger – Senior Audit Associate. Geoff began his career with Maloney + Novotny in 2006. In his role as Senior Audit Associate, Geoff specializes in auditing clients in the not-for-profit, manufacturing and service industry. In addition he does work with employee benefit plan audits and tax returns. Geoff earned his Bachelors degree in Accounting from Kent State University in 2004 and his Masters of Science of Accountancy from Kent State in 2005. He became a CPA in 2008.
