Maloney + Novotny Bowls for Kids
CLEVELAND, OH – April 13, 2010 – On Saturday, March 6, 2010, local accounting firm Maloney + Novotny LLC participated in Junior Achievement of Greater Cleveland’s Bowl-A-Thon Fundraiser. Ten Maloney + Novotny teams comprised of 46 participants helped raise more than $4,800 to support educational programs in schools throughout Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake and Lorain counties. Maloney + Novotny Community Engagement Committee Members Michael Spangler and Beth Hensley spearheaded the effort and were pleased with the results.
“This year we raised the bar and surpassed our fundraising goal,” said Michael Spangler, a Manager at Maloney + Novotny. “Community involvement is very important to our firm and Junior Achievement is an organization that we believe in,” added Beth Hensley, Senior Accountant.
Junior Achievement is dedicated to educating young people about business, economics and personal finances. Over 46,000 students will participate in Junior Achievement programs during the 2009-2010 school year. JA programs are taught by volunteers in class and after school in over 200 schools and organizations.
