Matt Maloney CPA
MANAGING SHAREHOLDER
Matt joined Maloney + Novotny LLC in 1984 and is the firm's Managing Shareholder. Matt has over 24 years of experience as a CPA and a business advisor and leads the firm's accounting and auditing practice. Matt has extensive expertise in addressing the complex challenges facing not-for-profit entities, such as rising costs and not-for-profit competition for public support and private contributions. He works with a variety of private schools and colleges as well as other not-for-profit organizations. Matt is very knowledgeable and experienced with all government auditing standards.
In addition, Matt has extensive experience with for-profit companies including SEC engagements and employee benefit plan audits. His professional expertise encompasses tax issues affecting corporations, partnerships, and entities of every kind. Matt is also a member of the firm's peer review team.
A graduate of Miami University with a Bachelor of Science degree, Matt received a law degree from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in 1991.
Matt is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Ohio Society of CPAs. He is also a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and Beta Alpha Psi Honorary. In addition, he is the secretary and past president of the board of trustees of Horizon Activities Center.
