Pete Szendrey CPA
Pete joined Maloney + Novotny in 1991 and became a shareholder in 2007. He has over 22 years of experience specializing in audit and risk management working for a wide variety of clients. Pete serves clients in many industries including commercial and industrial/service, oil & gas, both publicly traded and closely held companies, along with employee benefit plans.
Pete's technical areas of expertise include audit and accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley consulting and risk management. Pete is a member of the firm's accounting and auditing committee and has also instructed firm-sponsored classes on risk management. Prior to joining our firm, Pete was an auditor with Ernst & Young.
Pete graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in accounting from the University of Dayton in 1986. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Ohio Society of CPAs, and the Institute of Internal Auditors. He is also a member of Beta Alpha Psi Honorary. Pete was a founding Board member of Big Brothers / Big Sisters of Lorain County, and spent many years involved in coaching and refereeing soccer at both the youth and high school levels. Pete lives in Westlake with his wife and 3 children.
