Chris Villari joined Maloney + Novotny LLC in 1989 and was elected shareholder in 2007. Chris manages the firm’s Employee Benefits Group, which includes more than 130 plan audits. Chris has been auditing employee benefit plans for nearly 20 years. Chris’ experience includes working with clients on defined contribution, defined benefit, ESOP and Health & Welfare plans as well as regulatory oversight audits, due diligence work and other compliance matters.  Chris also consults clients on plan mergers/terminations and Department Of Labor and IRS examinations.

In addition to working with employee benefit plans, Chris also works with a variety of commercial & industrial, healthcare, not-for-profit and service industry clients. This allows Chris to understand his clients’ businesses and the unique issues affecting each of them.

Chris is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Ohio Society of CPAs, the ESOP Association and the Worldwide Employee Benefits Network. He regularly attends the AICPA National Conference on Employee Benefit Plans and is on the advisory committee for the Ohio. Society of CPAs annual employee benefit audit conference.

Chris received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from John Carroll University in 1989 and became a certified public accountant in 1992.
